John,
I see you have added a 8mb File size max... It doesn't happen often, but sometimes the 5D delivers JPEG's that is over that... what would you prefer? lower the compression settings or size the image down?

Good question.. I guess the answer is that whichever is best in terms of overall quality.
No doubt there will be advantages and disadvantages to both but maybe slightly more compression would be a negligible difference for a first generation save than downsizing.
