Thought I'd take a better look around the site today and see what images are popular - ummm, I'm not too keen on looking at nudes - how about developing some sort of "safe search"?

I'm well aware that images of that sort are popular, and if well done considered artistic, but I think it would be better if you could choose not to veiw those images.

We currently don't have a safe search option to do this. I realise that some people don't like to see images like this and even though I don't feel they are offensive, I'll look into the option of a safe search.

I didn't mean to say they are offensive in style Smiley - it's not like they resemble pornography or anything (but christian people just don't want to see this).

As an artist, I can deal with that if I have to, but what about purchasers - they should have a choice if there's any possibility of doing it.

ummm, also, i didn't expect you to "jump right on this", just maybe put it in your "future updates" file.  cheesy

No, it's a good point. I won't be jumping right on it though wink But it's something I'll look at.

Keep the suggestions coming, they're all appreciated.

Cheers

I'm with Gracey on this one.
Nothing to do with wether you are a Christian or not and I'm no prude.
Having taken some nude portraits in my time.
BUT I would rather have the option not  to see them.

I decided to check the "most popular" images and was a bit shocked.  Not just nudity, but some erotic images as well.  It's ok in an adult environment, but the site is open to the public, so I think it would be smart to avoid this.

And it's a bit sad to see that nudity is by far the most popular subject in the site.  Sad

Yes, sex sells...  But if this is what this site becomes popular for, then it's not the right place for my portfolio.

Yes, sex sells...

I have some shots in which I want to convey "purity" and as it happens, they can be construed as "erotic" in the right (or wrong) mind. What bothers me is that those shots get a lot of views, but no sales at all. That's true on all the sites. It happens that my models are quite young (but 18 and over), so I guess those shots attract some weidos that have no intention to buy at all. I respect my models too much to expose them to that kind of views.

The question is, where does "slightly erotic" (as a side-effect) ends and where does vulgarity start? I guess that thin line is different for everybody, depending on the culture and her/his moral or religious beliefs.

So Adelaide, what is your opinion about this shot? Should it be blocked from "normal" viewers?
