OK I think I've isolated the problem. I had some changes made to the server today and it seems that the engineers at my hosting have turned safe mode on in the process which effectively prevents uploads (helpful eh wink.

Anyway, I've made the changes to the relevant files and hopefully they'll take effect in the next 30 mins or so when the server reloads. It may take longer though, maybe as long as 24 hours but hopefully not that long.

I just tried uploading and had problems too.  A whole page of error messages.  I'll try again tomorrow.

I know exactly what the problem is. I know exactly how to fix it and so does my host. It's something called open_basedir restrictions which unfortunately only my host can remove. In fact they did this at my request at the very beginning at my request so that the software would work correctly

What has happened since then is I asked them to fix another glitch (i.e. fix a problem that meant I was unable to view my web stats) and in the process they have put the open_basedir restrictions back in place.

OK.. so I email them and ask them to remove them again..

Now they are just playing silly buggers and saying that they NEVER remove these restrictions... and so it goes now. Emails back and forth.. I could scream

Aaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I had the same uploaded problem with Shutter, I think, was one week ago and they fix it. The same page was appearing when I finished to upload.

We will wait after your OK.. ... as soon as it will be, I will continue to upload.

Be patient... Meanwhile you can take a good rest

 wink

Rest??? I've never been so stressed wink

Well at least I'm not alone. It's sort of comforting to know that even SS have this sort of problem from time to time. smiley
