John when do you think you will be able to accept larger file sizes? 5 mb limit prevents me from uploading many of my images.

At the minute files larger than 5MB don't upload correctly because I think there is a limit on the server for files bigger than that. It's a manged server and I've been in constant contact with them over the last few weeks for basic stuff that should have been in place and functioning correctly but hasn't been.

Even things like having access to my site stats haven't been available until today. It also turned out that they hadn't installed a php.config file which allows the limits to be changed but that's been installed now so timeout limits and file size limits can be changed etc.

I'm not sure whether the recent upload difficulty (more than usual) is related to that but at least one person has reported to me that they are having dificulty uploading and so am I..

I'll report back with an update when I find out waht's happening.

Regards

Hi Dianne

The file size limit should be removed now but the changes won't take effect for another 30 mins or so until the server reloads. Although it could be longer, maybe as long as 24 hours.

Hopefully I've made the correct changes wink

I've increased the file size limit so larger sized files should upload in around 12 hours from now.

I uploaded a file just over 5 mb a few minutes ago, John. It seems to have gone just fine.

Thanks Smiley
