Some interesting upgrades at Canstock today .. they launched a subscription-based sister site and changed their payout structure, among other new things, including a full page advertisement coming out in HOW and PRINT (I think). Maybe things will finally move along there .. the changes seem great so far.
(Are we still allowed to talk about this stuff here? If not, just pull it!)

How were you doing there before this? I just joined and am waiting for the initial three to be looked at before we can start uploading.

How were you doing there before this? I have had 10 sales in total over a 5 month period. It is my slowest (Besides Gimmestock) sales.I have not uploaded a lot to Canstock. Have about 132 Images up there. With the same amount (and same Images) I have had 200 sales on another site for a period of 1 month. Lets hope the improvements push up our sales! Be Cool as ... ICE

Canstock is definitely slow, but I have just reached the $100 payout level (it took about a year). But it is slow in a different sense than Gimmestock or some of the others. Canstock still has a community, a presence and the admins stay involved in the forums. The reviewers take the time to post helpful information and they encourage their photographers.
Some of the other slow ones .. well, they start out very enthusiastically, and then it appears everyone loses interest .. the boards go quiet and you can hear a pin drop. The home pages go stale, images only trickle through the queue and everyone loses motivation. Like any business, it is up to the "bosses" to keep the "employees" motivated and when I see that deteriorate, is when I stop uploading.
I have a large portfolio at Canstock, as it was one of the first I joined and I plan on staying there. The recent changes speaks volumes as to their intentions and willingness to invest the time and money into the business that's required to make a go of it.

The move to subscription sales is an interesting development over there and one that may well lead to more sales given the success of SS.
I'm following this with interest. Personally I haven't done that well over there but my portfolio is only around 214. I've had 33 sales since April and not yet reached the payout and I notice they have a minimum of $100 before payout.
Has that increased? I thought it was around $50 before.

Thanks for the answer. I just got accepted so we will start uploading there soon. We belong to so many sites it is getting crazy! I am just scared that a site may do well down the road and so if we didn't keep putting up photos we wouldn't know.

My last two submissions at CS have been approved within a couple of hours of uploading. I think sales are picking up a little too.

We did end up joining both canstock and bigstock. We are doing a little better at bigstock currently. It is slower there than the other big sites but eventually I am sure we will reach a payout.

I have 335 pictures on Can Stock and I am with them since June with only 14 sales. I gave a free picture and it is on the first page since 3 days with 160 downloads free. Will be good if only those free pics will increase my sales but it doesn't look like it until now. Anyway I am patient. Never know ! maybee one day Can will do better. One think I like, they are very fast now for reviews. So long

All my images are reviewed same day at CS & MSP. The last few days have been good for me. Had very few rejections. BS is almost all images same day review & SS is a bit behind. Maybe just my lucky seoson!

Everybody noticed that in 2006 the sales started to grow on CSP? I think, subscription is a good thing. Even if the income is 0.2, as shown on SS, subscription goes better. I earned double in 1 month on SS which on DT in 2 months!

I've noticed my sales have rocketed on CanStock. Actually, I've noticed this across the board. My January sales exceeded totoal November and December sales by mid-month.

I had the same problem at one point - try changing your bookmark - I had previously bookmarked the control panel page which has changed completely (if you go to the home page then login you won't have a problem).
