For the most part, uploading process is good. The problem comes when adding keywords etc. For each picture, you have to View/Edit photos, then scroll to bottom of page, then click on page number, then scroll to picture. Once finished with each picture you start the whole process over again. This makes for a very tedious process when loading more than a few pictures.

Is there a better way?

Thanks

Hi

when adding keywords and title manually it is tedious on any site, I know, have you considered embedding the keywords and titles into your images as IPTC data. That way you only need to do it once from your imaging package regardless of how many sites you upload to. if you use Photoshop you can do it from there.

The system on MSP will automatically extract your titles and keywords for so you won't need to enter anything. Just upload and go. I know there are still categories but you needn't worry about that either because when images are approved, categories will be added for you if you haven't done so already.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked at imbedding the information, but haven't figured out how yet.

As far as other sites, yes it is tedious adding the keywords, but it is a simple cut and paste operation. The difference is on other sites, when I finish editing a photo, either the next incomplete photo comes up automatically, or worst case, I am back to a list of incomplete photos and just click on the next one. At MSP, I have to go through the entire process of finding and loading each photo one at a time. This makes a tedious process more so.

Thanks

Hi again

I appreciate that manual entering of keywords is a chore on this site even more so than others.

Tell me, what image editing software are you using and what is your set up? I'm sure we can get you sorted with embedding keywords etc. in no time at all. That'll save you hours of time, not just here but also on every other site you contribute.

If I don't have the answer then I'm sure someone else here will.

I am using Photoshop Elements 3.0 for Windows. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't use Elements however, I believe that can be done from there in the following way.

Goto File menu and select Browse. This opens up the File Browser.

From there you can find your images and display them as thumbnails. You should see that when the file browser window opens it has its own drop down menu.

Click once on the thumbnail of the image that you want to embed keywords into and the from the File Browser goto File and select File Info. A box will open with all the relevant fileds for title, description and keywords etc.

Once you have done this the info is embedded in the file and will be automatically extracted on upload to all of the microstock sites.

Also if you are using Windows, I believe there is a way to do this from within Windows but being a Mac user myself I'm not familiar with that so maybe someone else could advise.

Hope this is helpful
