I mentioned not so long ago that I was in the process of redesigning the site and offering different payment options. Well, it's almost done with some final touches being added over the next few days.
I need around 5 volunteers to help me test it out over a period of around a week. If anyone is interested and willing to help then let me know here and I'll forward you more details.
Regards
John

What does one have to do to test it out?
I'd be happy to volunteer if it's something I can do.

Basically the running of the site to check if odd pages appear here and there or if things could be streamlined.
But the real reason is the buying options need to be tested as well as a subscription option so I'll need people to register as photographers, upload a few test files and people to register free and/or as buyers and try out the subscription packages. Also you will need to download purchased images from the subscription plan etc. Check to see if what's downloaded matches your sales tally as a photographer.
Basically do as much as you can and try to find faults or areas that could be improved.
Costs for the test subscriptions will be temporarily set at an articially low rate and money will be reimbursed for any costs.

Well, I don't have a paypal account or a credit card that I would use online, so that lets me out of the buyer side, but I'll be happy to register on the photographer's side if you like. If everybody who volunteered worked as a team it could work - so long as the buyers tell the sellers what's been downloaded.
You may get enough people to volunteer who can do both sides, in which case that's fine - if you don't though, you can count me in on the photographer's side.

Well that would be useful too because I need to test the system from the photographer and buyer side, so you could upload some low res test images and anyone that registers as a buyer downloads them.
The way the subscription system works should show up in your account as subscription downloads at a different rate to single buy purchases.

I found a problem almost immediately which I didn't predict so testing is stopped for a while. I'll get back as soon as I solve this one.

Thanks Norma
I'll PM you with details.
There's another glitch I discovered that means subscription sales aren't being logged properly yet but that is being addressed.
Cheers

OK... Subscription sales are now recording properly and appear in your sales list if someone downloads your images.
If you go to the site and register a FREE member account I will convert that to a paid subscription account for you and download away. tell me how it feels as a buyer to use this. Also try buying your own images with the subscription account and check your sales details to see if it tallies. I have already bought images so there will already be a balance in your 'view my sales'
It's probably best to check that before buying any yourself to see if what you download matches your sales report.
This won't cost you anything if you register a free account first.
It would also be useful if one or two people could buy a single image without being logged in as a member. The prices are set at 20 cents per image during the test. Your purchases will be reimbursed.
Any comments can be posted here in the forum.
Thanks again for your help so far. It's almost there...

Sent myself a light box with some pics in it today - seemed to work fine I also sent you an email from the support function.... anything else I've tried seems to work okay. (wish I had as many sales as I have on the test site ... also the test site pays me more than the image's selling price - i sorta like that function too )
